Data We Collect or Access

How We Use Data

Sharing of Data

User messages, files, profile data, and call signaling data are shared with intended recipients as part of the messenger service. We do not sell personal or sensitive user data and we do not use personal or sensitive user data for third-party advertising. Data may be processed by infrastructure and service providers that are necessary to operate the app, such as servers, storage, Firebase Cloud Messaging or other push notification services, and diagnostics services. We may disclose data when required by law or to protect users, the service, or legal rights.

Permissions

Android permissions are requested at runtime where required and in the context of the user-facing feature. Camera is used for taking photos, video messages, and video calls. Microphone is used for voice messages and calls. Location is used only when a user chooses to share their current location in a chat. Notification permission is used for message and incoming call alerts. Full-screen intent is used only for incoming audio/video call alerts. The app may link to Android battery settings so users can review system restrictions when message or call alerts are delayed. Users can deny or revoke permissions in Android settings, but related features may stop working.

Security

Data is transmitted using modern encrypted transport where supported by the service. Authentication data is stored using Android security mechanisms. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we use reasonable technical measures to protect personal and sensitive user data.

Retention and Deletion

Data is retained for as long as needed to provide the messenger service, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce terms. Users may request account and data deletion by contacting goryunov_ad@magnit.ru or by following the instructions on the account deletion page. Some data may be retained where required for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or operational reasons.

Children

PigeonMail is not directed to children under the age required by applicable law. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
